General Seafood Associate

Requirements

  • Serve Safe certification is a plus
  • Must demonstrate a high standard & working knowledge of Serve Safe

  • Multilingual is a plus
  • Ability to instill a passion for seafood

  • Ability to handle product carefully so to preserve quality & grade
  • Ability to handle equipment carefully so to preserve quality, integrity, performance longevity & sanitary condition.

Duties Include, but not limited to:

  • Steam shrimp, Crabs & other seafood
  • Able to fillet fish is a plus
  • Shuck at an oyster, clam, scallop raw bar
  • Maintain & Procure customer orders
  • Receiving, storing, monitoring
  • Complete reports & logs
  • Retail & Wholesale service
  • Market order procurement
  • Receive & dispatch product
  • Maintain, create, monitor,  adjust & disassemble product display & marketing display
  • Package & portion Product
  • Peel & de-vein shrimp
  • Pick through crabmeat for recipes for prep/cafe dept
  • Dress fish & soft shell Crabs
  • Use of computer & point of sale system

  • Interact helpfully with other departments

  • Serve Safe certification may be required depending on staffing

General Café Assistant

Requirements

  • Serve Safe certification may be required.
  • Must demonstrate a high standard & working knowledge of Serve Safe
  • Neat & clean personal appearance
  • Good at math
  • Communicate effectively both in speech & written word using the English language
  • Multilingual is a plus
  • Ability to instill a passion for seafood
  • Basic knowledge of seafood preparation
  • Manage & stock inventory
  • Ability to personally lift 40Lb with Twisting and turning required to clean glass in a display case, mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms etc.

Duties Include, but not limited to:

  • Prepare & maintain work area for production
  • Clean utilized work area, utensils, & equipment
  • Cook Prepare and assemble food for our café.
  • Food prep for later cooking, consumption, & packaging to be sold in café, store or at market location.
  • Prepare food for immediate consumption
  • Receiving, storing, monitoring
  • Complete reports & logs
  • Operate cash register or Point of Sale terminals
  • Receive product & dispatch product
  • Develop protocol & procedure
  • Serve & clear tables
  • Perform any & all functions that are basic practice of executing Serve Safe including any & all sanitation & cleaning procedures

Line Cook

Requirements

  • Serve Safe certification may be required.
  • Line cook must be able cook, heat, & arrange food to Chef’s specifications with a high degree of finesse. Cooking by oven, broiler, grill, fryer, & steamer
  • Must demonstrate a high standard & working knowledge of Serve Safe
  • Neat & clean personal appearance
  • Good at math
  • Communicate effectively both in speech & written word using the English language
  • Multilingual is a plus
  • Ability to instill a passion for seafood
  • Good working knowledge of seafood preparation
  • Manage & stock inventory
  • Ability to personally lift 40lb with twisting & turning required to clean glass in a display case, mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms etc.

FISH FILLETER

Requirements

  • Must be able to skillfully fillet, dress, trim, and scale whole fish
  • Shuck oysters, clam, raw bar
  • Aid processing crabs receiving, loading, storing, monitoring
  • Complete reports and logs
  • Retail service operate the cash register or point of sale terminals
  • Prepare and maintain work area for production
  • Clean utilized work area, utensils, and equipment
  • Receive product
  • Dispatch product
  • Must demonstrate a high standard and working knowledge of Serve Safe
  • Manage and stock inventory
  • Ability to personally lift 65 Lb with Twisting and turning maneuver heavier items with the help of others.

Duties Include, but not limited to:

  •  Maintain a safe work environment
  • Take initiative to keep hazards from arising
  • Able to problem solve
  • Maintain a safe environment for customers anywhere on the café property both inside and outside the café.
  • Perform any and all functions that are the basic practice of executing Serve Safe
  • Including all sanitation and cleaning procedures that may include cleaning glass in display cases, mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms, etc.
  • Maintain, create, and disassemble product and marketing displays
  • Must be able to work and stand in excess of 8 hours in a facility that has concrete floors.
  • Must be able to work in the heat and work around/with stoves, ovens, deep fryers, steam tables, and other heat-producing equipment.
